Biddy Orr – a well respected life member of our Bohemian Association has left us…..on Friday 2nd November 2018. Biddy gave so much to us over the years and will be remembered with love, by many.
The German Bohemian community have organisied to help celebrate with a Bohemian Mass. We have chosen to celebrate the feast day of St Wenceslaus (Patron Saint of Bohemia) and will lead the worship at Mass, sharing our Bohemian culture.

Everyone is welcome, we plan to have a shared lunch afterwards with a little bit of music and dancing as required

This weekend we will be celebrating Puhoi Anniversary and the feast day of Saints’ Peter and Paul.
Sunday 26th June: Mass at 11am in Puhoi Church, and shared lunch after in the hall with music and dance until afternoon tea time.
For those interested, the Puhoi Historical Society have organised a Saturday night dance on the 25th June. $15/ person. please bring a plate to share for supper.
Thank you to all who attended the Reunion in Puhoi on the 6th March 2016. It was a great success, a day filled with talking, meeting new relations, making new friends, dancing and so on……. Congratulations to the Puhoi Historical Society and the Bohemian Association for putting on such a great event in such a short time, I might add 🙂

Please register your interest in attending the reunion of Puhoi descendants especially Plescher, Schischka, Wech and Wenzlick families who came on the “Liverpool” arriving Auckland, 6th March 1866 – 150 years ago. These families intermarried with almost all of the other families so all are welcome.
$5 per person covers admin costs and family descendant badge.

Sad news this morning with the passing of Jim Krippner 😦 Jim was a past Chairman of our Association, Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
