Sad news this morning with the passing of Jim Krippner :-( Jim was a past Chairman of our Association, Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
James “Jim” Anthony:
Peacefully at Resthaven on 22 February 2015 aged 76. Dearly loved husband of Teresa. Much loved father and father-in-law of Anthony & Kirsten (Ngaruawahia), Ray and Shellie (Bathurst, Australia), Helen & Greg Moverley (Auckland), Leo & Iris (Wellington), Margaret & Vince Layton (Te Aroha), Bernadette & Phil Winter (Putaururu), Patrick & Kirsty (Trentham), James & Jani (Te Awamutu) and his 27 grandchildren.
Rest in Peace Jim.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Resthaven for their caring of Jim and support to Teresa. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Waikato would be appreciated. Rosary recited at 7.00pm on Tuesday, a Requiem Mass will be held for Jim on Wednesday 25th February 2015 at 11.00am in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Anzac Street, Cambridge. Time to start planning for the Annual get together at Puhoi this year.
Saturday 28th June: The weekend will kick off with an Old Time Dance with the “Blue Jays Band” in Puhoi Hall.
7:30 – 11:00 pm. $10 per person. Children 12 and under of the Puhoi Historical Society and the Bohemian Association are free. It is a very child friendly evening :-)
B.Y.O drinks and a plate of food for shared supper.
Sunday 29th June: Mass at 11:00 am at Puhoi Catholic Church and after, the laying of thanksgiving wreath at the landing memorial stone.
Shared lunch at Puhoi Hall, please bring a plate of finger food – soup and bread provided.

BERGER, Elaine Anne Therese (nee Schischka). Born 18 October 1937. Passed away peacefully on 29 April 2014 at Leigh Road Cottage, surrounded by all her family.
Beloved wife of the late Terence Berger of Ahuroa. Loved Mother and Mother in Law of Christopher; Margaret and Hutch; Rosemarie and John; Daniel and Nicola. Cherished Granny of Hannah and Molly; Pippa, Polly and James; Gus, Tessa, Patrick and Jacob. Beloved daughter of the late Vic and Anne Schischka and loved sister of Maureen Farrell and the late Peter Schischka. May perpetual light shine upon her, rest in peace. Elaine’s family wish to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff at Leigh Road Cottage for the love and care shown to their mother. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Puhoi on Monday 5th May at 10:30am followed by interment at Puhoi Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at the church on Sunday 4th May at 5:30pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
